General Study Questions

The right university should help you grow academically and as an individual. University is not only about what you learn from books and teachers but your experiences. You should also consider if the university offers the possibility to join any student organizations, sports clubs, internships or volunteer work. Extracurricular activities are as important as the academics as they will teach you many practical skills and give you many life experiences.

UNYP has a very active Student Council, free gym and pool access, many clubs and floorball, basketball and football teams as we feel it is important for our students to have a well-rounded university experience.

In most cases, transferring to a new university is relatively painless and you will not lose all the work you have achieved at your previous university. As this is a big part of your life and truly shapes your future, it is important to make sure you feel comfortable where you study. If you want to change universities, the first thing you should do is contact the university you are interested in transferring to and see what their transfer requirements are.

The Admissions Office of UNYP can help you in the process to get the awarded credit from prior study in the form of elective credit, or credit and exemption from required courses.

The smaller class sizes at a private university mean that each student will get tailored individual attention, and can work one-on-one with faculty members.

UNYP’s small classroom environment has 15-30 students per class, meaning that seminars and lectures are highly interactive.
